Pinghsi Township in New Taipei City is famous for sky lantern and Shifen Waterfall.
Sky lantern is also known as Kongming lantern according to the legend of the Three Kingdoms.
It is invented by Kongming, to send messages. At present, it is usually used for wishes.
During the Lantern Festival, tourists flock to Pinghsi to pray for good luck in the years to come.
